Range of treatment

TC S2 E.JPG

Our surgical scope includes all modern procedures for thoracic surgery; a special focus is minimally invasive operations (thoracoscopy/VATS, video-mediastinoscopy), extended lung resection for advanced stage lung cancer and lung tissue preserving surgical procedures (cuff resections).

A modern laser system is used for the surgical treatment of lung metastases.
With laser resection it is possible to remove the lung metastases whilst protecting the neighbouring lung tissue.
In close cooperation with specialised centres, top quality pulmonary endarterectomies are routinely performed for chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (pulmonary hyertension caused by a thromboembolism, CTEPH).

A programme for the surgical treatment of end stage lung diseases and lung transplants is at the planning stage and will shortly be available.
