Dear Patients and Guests

Welcome to the Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Kerckhoff-Klinik Bad Nauheim. Our department was set up in November 2007 and, together with the Department of General Pneumology and Pneumological Oncology (Prof. F. Grimminger, Prof. A. Ghofrani, Priv.- Doz. A. Banat), forms the Thoracic Centre at the Kerckhoff-Klinik Bad Nauheim.

Its range of surgical services comprises all benign and malignant diseases and injuries to the lungs, the thorax, the mediastinum, the trachea and the diaphragm.

Minimally invasive, video-assisted procedures, tumour and metastases surgery of the lungs and the thoracic cavity and the surgical treatment of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) represent the clinical focus of the department.

A lung transplant programme is under development. In close interdisciplinary cooperation with local and national partners we are able to offer top level diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with the latest medical knowledge. Our department ensures optimum patient care from an experienced team of nurses, physiotherapists and physicians in an attractive, civilised hospital atmosphere.
