The Federal Office for Quality Control certified the top performance achieved by the Kerckhoff Clinic.
An independent committee, the Federal Office for Quality Control recently certified the top performance achieved by the Kerckhoff Clinic. It documents that the Kerckhoff Clinic has one of the lowest rates of mortality in coronary surgery throughout the entire country. We manage to mobilize the patients so that they can get up on the first post operative day in 85.96% of the cases. The national average is only 40.70%. This high success rate is largely attributable to our many years of experience as well as the great number of patients who are treated here. The foundation laid in this department also made it possible for non-stressful but effective techniques in anaesthetics to be developed in the anaesthesiology department. 92.07% of Kerckhoff Clinic patients can have the artificial respiration equipment switched off within 12 hours of the operation. The national average is 59.49%. Other factors for the excellent assessment in the quality report are our own voluntary quality controls, high motivation, regular training courses for our nursing staff and the good cooperation between all the departments. The Federal Office for Quality Control attested the exemplary character of our quality management.
